President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree abolishing some tax and customs benefits on Wednesday, the Ministry of Justice's legal information channel said.
According to the amendments, benefits for public transport services at uniform rates will be scrapped from January 1, 2025. Currently, they apply to urban public transport (except taxis) and commuter trains.
While, from the same date, the VAT benefit for turnover on the sale of goods and services of their own production by legal entities whose sole owners are public associations of persons with disabilities will cease. At the same time, their number and wages fund must be at least 50%.
Earlier, from April 1, after the cancellation of benefits for payment for heating and hot water supply services, 12% VAT was added to the established price. Previously, the turnover for the provision of these services was subject to zero rate VAT.
In July, the president announced that benefits and subsidies for businesses would now be allocated for a year with a target figure.
