President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted a delegation consisting of the Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan, the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya and the Director of the National Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalın.
At the beginning of the meeting, the guests conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğanto Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The parties discussed the ways to further strengthen the Uzbek-Turkish comprehensive strategic partnership ties and to advance multifaceted cooperation in the context of the implementation of the agreements of the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey on June 6-7 this year.
They highly valued the outcomes of the joint meeting of ministers and heads of departments of the two states and emphasized the importance of continuing regular and systemic contacts in accordance with the adopted "road map", expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations.
They also touched upon deepening the political dialogue, promoting trade, economic and investment cooperation projects and focused on strengthening interdepartmental coordination and conducting joint activities to counter modern security challenges and threats.
