Chairman of the State Security Service Abdusalom Azizov today hosted the delegation of the National Intelligence Organization of Turkey headed by Ibrahim Kalın 12, the press service of the State Security Service said.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the bilateral ties in the field of security, in particular, the fight against terrorism and extremism, illegal migration, organized crime, detention and deportation of persons wanted for involvement in terrorist activities.
“The current visit of the Turkish delegation took place against the backdrop of intensive development of political contacts at the highest level between the two countries. Uzbekistan and Turkey, as fraternal countries, share common positions in countering modern challenges and threats,” the State Security Service said.
The statement also emphasized that at present, only joint efforts and practical actions could protect the two countries from any forms of terrorism and extremism.
