Today, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will host Turkish delegation including the Tukish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya and Director of the National Intelligence Service, Ibrahim Kalın, the president’s spokesman Sherzod Asadov said.
“Meetings in such a format are being held for the first time and are aimed at establishing systemic cooperation in the priority areas of Uzbek-Turkish relations of a comprehensive strategic partnership,” he added.
The Turkish delegation landed in Tashkent in accordance with the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Turkey on June 6-7.
It is scheduled to hold bilateral talks and a joint meeting with the delegation members.
The parties are expected to focus on the practical implementation of decisions of the leaders of the two countries, strengthening coordination and interaction in the fight against modern challenges and threats to security, Sherzod Asadov concluded.
