President Shavkat Mirziyoyev yesterday arrived in Samarkand, where he started his trip with a visit to the grave of the first President Islam Karimov, UzA reports.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev laid a wreath on the grave of Islam Karimov, after which he familiarized himself with the construction progress of the memorial complex.
The President also visited the mausoleum of Imam Bukhari, where the construction of an international research center is ongoing. He pointed to the need to build the center in line with modern standards, establish scientific activities aimed at promoting the heritage of great ancestors.
The President was briefed on the improvement project of Nurafshon street connecting Dahbed Street and the Imam Bukhari Complex in the Payarik District, construction of housing, trade and service facilities along the road.
