Footage showing of a police officer getting beaten circulated on social networks. The press service of the Tashkent city police department gave official information about the situation.
Reportedly, the incident happened on August 19 at 2:00 a.m. in a local market of Bektemir district. Bektemir district patrol officer, private J.R., who was involved in night duty found that GM Captiva was parked in a prohibited place.
The inspector called the owner of the GM Captiva and asked him to take his car away because it was obstructing the free movement of other vehicles. However, Sh.A., 34, refused to comply with the lawful demand of the officer, he actively resisted him and hit the inspector, causing bodily injury.
The service added that the case was being investigated by the Bektemir district prosecutor's office. A legal decision will be made at the end of the probe.
