Uzbeks will have 4 days off in a row on the occasion of the Independence Day holiday. According to the relevant presidential decree, regardless of working days (5 or 6 day-a-week), Uzbekistan residents will have 4 days off from September 1 to 4:
- August 31, 2024 - Saturday (holiday, non-working day);
- September 1, 2024 - Sunday (holiday, non-working day moved to September 2 as per new regulation moving holiday in case of holiday falling on rest day);
- September 2, 2024 - Monday;
- September 3, 2024 - Tuesday (additional non-working day);
