GM Lacetti driver, 24, died after being hit by a passenger train in his car in Kumkurgan district of Surkhandarya province, the provincial traffic police department press service said.
The incident occurred at about 12:40 PM on Tuesday on the 4N 1591 highway. The train was traveling along the Sariyasiya-Termez route.
According to the department, the driver did not stop at the railroad crossing, despite the red light. A pre-investigation probe has been launched.
The published photo shows that the car was hit from the driver's side. Before stopping, the train dragged the car for some distance.
