In Tashkent’s Yashnabad district on July 18, the canopy of the so-called 40 Years of Victory bus stop collapsed, the press service of the Toshshakhartranshizmat said.
Reportedly, nobody was injured as the incident occurred at night. Work is currently underway to restore the site.
According to the company, the district mayor’s office installed this stop on July 15, but due to a poorly secured roof, it collapsed two days later, on July 17.
More than 11 bus routes call at this stop, which belongs to bus depots 2 and 5. Before its restoration, individuals were asked to wait for public transport in special lanes, observing safety measures.
