President Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President-elect of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian on Wednesday.
At the beginning of the conversation, Shavkat Mirziyoyev sincerely congratulated Masud Pezeshkian on his victory in the presidential elections and wished him great success in his responsible government position.
The parties discussed the ways to further advance the Uzbek-Iranian ties, to expand cooperation in the areas of trade, investment and transport.
They commended that in recent years the volume of the two-way trade and cargo transportation, the number of joint projects and enterprises, and the frequency of flights had been growing.
They also focused on the implementation progress of previously reached agreements at the highest level and pointed to the importance of promoting cooperation projects in the energy, chemical industry, agriculture, food and other industries.
