As part of the visit of the Uzbek government delegation to Chechnya, Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade Laziz Qudratov attended the 1st Caucasian Investment Forum in Grozny.

According to the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, Laziz Qudratov, who was a speaker at the plenary session entitled: Greater Caucasus: From Sea to Sea, emphasized the importance of developing inter-provinces cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in order to achieve the goal set by the leaders of the two countries to increase the volume of the two-way trade to 30 billion dollars.

Russia is one of Uzbekistan’s main trade and economic partners. In the last 7 years, the volume of trade between Uzbekistan and Russia has increased by 2.5 times, reaching 10 billion dollars mark in 2023.

Also, the establishment of new joint industrial zones, formation of joint financing tools, development of tourism, expansion of cooperation in agriculture and cultural-humanitarian spheres were also defined among the priorities for development of the bilateral ties.
