Uzbek Defense Minister Bahodir Kurbanov arrived on a working visit to Minsk on Tuesday, where he will attend the meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS CIS), the Uzbek Defense Ministry said.
“At the meeting of the CIS Council of Defense will be present the military delegations from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The parties are expected to review the ways to advance military cooperation between the CIS countries, including matters of improving joint military systems, as well as coordinate the joint activities of the armed forces of the Commonwealth countries for 2025,” the statement says.
In addition, the Minister Bahodir Kurbanov will attend the ceremonial events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Germany in the WWII and the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus.
