Uzbek Ambassador Karomiddin Gadoev met with King Lim Chin Fui, the founder and CEO of Malaysian FIVE Petroleum Malaysia, Dunyo agency said.
During the talks, the parties explored the opportunities for investing in Uzbekistan.
At the business forum held in Samarkand in May of this year, King Lim stated that he sought in implementing the agreement reached with the province governor’s office on aluminum cans production unit.
King Lim Chin Fui expressed his readiness to establish cooperation with the soft drinks production enterprises in Uzbekistan in the supply of aluminum cans planned to be produced by the company. Also, the parties agreed with the Malaysian authorities to start the implementation of the project to create a network of gas filling stations in Tashkent city and later in other provinces and to equip them with modern equipment.
FIVE Petroleum Malaysia was founded in 2020. The company operates more than 110 gas filling stations across Malaysia. It also owns 60 percent of BHPetrol, which has more than 400 gas stations.
