Wedding of a 16-year old boy, from Shafirkon district of Bukhara province and a girl born in 2007 from Karakol district took place on June 29. The wedding party was held in the "Fathabad" ceremony house in the city.
According to children's ombudsman Surayyo Rahmonova, probe have been launched by her office and police.
Article 15 of the Family Code sets the age of marriage at 18 for men and women.
