At Karshi State University, a young man stabbed a female student he knew, and then wounded himself with the knife. This happened on the morning of June 22 in the campus of the university.
According to the Kashkadarya province prosecutor's office, a quarrel occurred between the guy and the lady, after which he took out a knife and stabbed her eight times in different parts of the body. Then he stabbed himself into stomach area. Information circulated on social network saying that he stabbed her for refusing to marry him.
The girl was taken to the hospital and is under medical supervision.
The young man's been arrested and is now facing Attempted premeditated murder charge.
