On June 20, the ceremony was held at the medical institutions of Karshi city of Kashkadarya region to hand over the medical equipment equivalent to a total amount of about 195,000 US dollars, provided within the framework of the "Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects" of the Government of Japan.
Medical institution and granted equipment:
- Karshi Branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Eye Microsurgery (Ophthalmic surgical microscope, Phacoemulsification apparatus)
- Kashkadarya branch of the Republican Specialized Scientific-Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology (ultrasound diagnostic device, endoscope equipment set, medical aspirator)
Japan's cooperation enabled hospitals to conduct more safe and accurate diagnostics and surgeries. Japan attaches great importance to the concept of "Human Security", which contributes to the creation of a society where everyone can live happily and with dignity. The Embassy of Japan will continue to cooperate in improving access to high-quality medical services in Uzbekistan.
