The working group of the Senate negatively valued the feeding system of kindergartens in Andijan province. The study found that the kindergartens’ kitchens were in dire need of repair, equipment, dishes were lacking, and low-quality food items were purchased. The official of the Ministry of Health, Nurmat Otabekov, said that the activities of such kindergartens should be stopped today.

Also, the study of the conditions for food preparation, reception and storage of food products were found that there were no due acceptance of food products by relevant commission.

In addition, menus were not based on a single 10-day seasonal diets. The prepared food list was not agreed with the provincial departments of the sanitary-epidemiological peace and public health committee, and the act regarding the changes made to the food lists was not duly formalized.

Nurmat Otabekov, the first deputy chairman of the Sanitary-Epidemiological Peace and Public Health Committee, who participated in the meeting, said that it was highly likely that children were being given meals cooked from rotten products in such kindergartens.

Reportedly, reports from the heads of the ministries and departments responsible for feeding kindergarten children was also heard at the meeting. The senators made suggestions and recommendations for solving existing problems in the field.
