Yesterday, EUROUZ, in collaboration with the EU delegation to Uzbekistan, held The Early Summer Soiree at the EU Residence. The event gathered members of EUROUZ, representatives of EU diplomatic missions, and government officials. This event served to create an enchanting atmosphere, fostering valuable networking opportunities, knowledge exchange, and engaging conversations.
The event began with a welcoming speech from H.E. the Ambassador of the EU delegation to Uzbekistan H.E. Charlotte Adriaen, who highlighted the rise in economic relations between the EU and Uzbekistan. She emphasized the partnerships and programs established to support these relations and noted the increasing interest of foreign investors in the Uzbek market. This event was especially significant as 2024 marks the 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the EU and Uzbekistan.
EUROUZ Secretary-General Mr. Oybek Shaykhov and a Member of the Board Mr. Louis Skyner underscored the importance of creating a platform for an effective dialogue between foreign investors, local business representatives & the Uzbekistan government to convert more opportunities into tangible investments and to develop better overall cooperation with European countries. They emphasized the pivotal role that EUROUZ plays in this process.
As a highlight of the evening, 17 new members of EUROUZ were awarded membership certificates, recognizing their commitment to fostering economic collaboration between the EU & Uzbekistan.
