At 23:55 on Saturday UzbekNefteGaz announced that it has set common prices for gasoline for whole of Uzbekistan valid starting from Sunday, which is on average by one-third higher than the previous price.

This decision was taken "In order to remedy the situation and prevent the illegal actions by some citizens."

The company statement said that the company has taken into account the "complaints from citizens filed to the Prime Minister's online reception in turn addressed to the UzbekNefteGaz’s senior staff, regulatory and law enforcement authorities about the failures in gasoline supply , cases of over-pricing in some gas stations, long queues, different prices of AI-80 gasoline in Tashkent, 2075 soums and in the regions, 3000 soums."

"In accordance with this starting from 23 October 2016 the retail price of gasoline AI-80 is set at 2,800 soums, for AI-91, 92, 93 - 3000 soums, Ai-95 - 3,300 soums per liter," - it was noted in the statement.

UzbekNefteGaz urged citizens to report cases of over-pricing for gasoline, its resale, and other illegal activities to UzNeftMahsulot’s hotline (071) 231-14-21, regional offices of UzDavNeftGazNazorat and law enforcement bodies.
