Ceremonial march of military units of the Ministry of Defense will take place along the main streets of Tashkent on Saturday, the press service of the Ministry of Defense said.
The purpose of the event is to “increase the country’s sense of pride in the defenders of the Motherland and instill to the young people in the spirit of patriotism,” the statement added.
Military personnel, to the sounds of an orchestra and the performance of military songs, will move along the following route: Academy of the Armed Forces (Mustakillik Street) - Amir Temur Square - Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics (Temiryulchilar Street) - Tashkent Central Ecopark (Makhtumkuli Street) - Central recreation park, former Telman (Khamidulla Aripov Street) - Academy of the Armed Forces.
Demonstration performances by the military and the orchestra will be held near Amir Temur Square and at the Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics, where military personnel will stop during the march.
The procession will begin at 12:00 from the main gate of the Academy of the Armed Forces.
