Four people were injured after they fell off an amusement ride in Bolajon Park in Surkhandarya city on Tuesday, the press service of the State Committee for Industrial Safety said. The photographs show that the seats were detached from the moving part of the ride.
The spokesman to the General Prosecutor's Office, Khayot Shamsutdinov said that among the victims were a 15- and 27-year-old residents of Termez city, as well as two citizens of Kazakhstan - 29-year-old O. K. . with 11-year-old daughter A.B.
All victims were hospitalized with various injuries to the Surkhandarya branch of the Republican Research Center for Emergency Medicine.
The park, located on Hakim At-Termiziy street in the Tuprokkurgon mahalla, belongs to the Termiz avenue park company.
Officers of the Authority for Oversight of Mining, Geological and Industrial Safety conducted a probe and identified the following violations:
- the amusement ride had not passed full technical certification tests before the season;
- no responsible person for preparing the amusement ride and submitting it for technical inspection was appointed;
- no document was issued indicating that the ride was ready for the season.
The Termez city police department is conducting pre-investigation over the incident.
