The Rubtsovsky City Court of the Altai Territory of Russia decided to take into custody an Uzbek national on charges of justifying terrorism, the press service of the regional courts said.
The reason for launching the criminal case was the man’s public statements about the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, made by him on March 24 in the premises of one of the stores in Rubtsovsk.
The man, 31, was arrested on March 27. He is now facing Public calls for terrorism, its justification or propaganda charge for the Russian Criminal Code.
The report states that the accused does not have permanent residence or registration in Russia. The court remanded him in custody for two months.
