Tomorrow on Friday, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change will hold Car-Free Day in Tashkent.
The main purpose of the Car-Free Day campaign is reportedly to promote healthy lifestyles.
The ministry added that it also aimed at drawing public attention to protecting the environment from harmful gases emitted by cars, reducing car traffic in large cities, and developing the public transport.
The Ministry urged everyone to contribute to the Car-Free Day and to use vehicles that are less harmful to the atmosphere, such as public transport, metro, and bicycles, instead of personal cars.
