Nationwide hashar (clean-up day) on the eve of Navruz will be held on March 16-18 throughout Uzbekistan under the slogan “A well-maintained and prosperous neighbourhood is the adornment of the country”, the press service of the Civil Service Development Agency under the president said.
The said days are Saturday, Sunday and Monday, respectively. This year there will be no deferred business day in March, only additional days-off, but they fall on the celebration of Navruz, forming a four-day holiday.
In May 2018, the government issued a resolution that determined that the public can contribute to hashars exclusively voluntarily basis and strictly on the territory of an entity in which the hashar participants work, in compliance with labor protection and safety standards.
