The editors of the popular Mushtum (Fist) satirical magazine, published for over a century, announced it temporarily suspends publication (including on social networks) due to financial difficulties.

In 2023, the editor-in-chief of the magazine, Nosirzhon Toshmatov, said that the circulation stood at 5,000 copies.

According to him, the magazine suspended operations only twice - during the 1941-45 war and during the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 - due to financial problems. the publication of the magazine resumed in 2021.
