Uzbekistan will help Kazakhstan with water: 800 cubic meters of water per second will flow in March this year along the Syrdarya river.
The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan Nurzhan Nurzhigitov spoke about the deals inked with Uzbekistan.
According to the minister, 800 cubic meters of water per second will flow in March this year along the Syrdarya river.
“The said volume should flow to Kazakhstan in February and March of this year. In February, the Uzbek authorities performed its obligations, so it is expected that these figures will continue in March,” the ministry clarified.
Repportedly, the construction of 57 reservoirs is planned throughout Kazakhstan, of which 20 will be built by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation.
The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation of Kazakhstan was created on the instruction of the president Tokayev in September last year in order to closely deal with pressing issues in this area.
