Tashkent subway received the delivery of three new four-car subway trains manufactured by Metrovagonmash plant (Russia) on Saturday, the Tashkent subway authority said.

The trains will undergo technical tests for about 10 days, after which they will be ready to serve passengers.

It is expected that new trains will be launched on the Yunusabad and elevated Circle lines, which will reduce wait time.

By the year end of this, the subway authorities are expected to receive the delivery of eight more trains, bringing the yearly total to 11 trains, or 44 cars.

In 2019-2021, the Tashkent subway Uzbekistan received 60 cars from Metrovagonmash. This made it possible to form 15 new trains and reduce wait times.
