President’s Envoy for Afghanistan Ismatulla Ergashev hosted the Ambassador of the Netherlands, Niko Schemers. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties discussed prospects for the development of relations between Uzbekistan and the Netherlands in to address the Afghanistan crisis.
The ambassador reportedly emphasized Uzbekistan’s important role in establishing long-term and stable peace in Afghanistan, Tashkent's efforts to provide humanitarian aid to the Afghan people and restore the country's national economy.
The current situation in Afghanistan, as well as the implementation of various infrastructure projects in this country, were discussed in detail.
