President Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosted Russian Deputy PM/Minister of Industry and Trade/Co-Chair of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation, Denis Manturov.
The parties reviewed the outcomes of the official visit of the president of Uzbekistan to Russia on October 5-7, 2023, the progress of the agreements reached on trade and economic cooperation and the implementation of the inked agreements.
They commended the volume of the two-way trade has increased by 6.6% compared to the last year and joint projects in industry, energy, transport, metallurgy, chemistry, pharmaceutical and other sectors. They highly valued the effective results of the Intergovernmental Commission meetings, provincial, educational and medical forums held in 2023.
Continuing the growth of the two-way trade, cooperation projects, including INNOPROM industrial exhibition, which will be held in Tashkent for the third time in April of this year. They pointed to the importance of further promotion via the "Central Asia" international industrial exhibition.
