In first half year, the Consular Office and the consular missions of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry issued visas to 123,36 foreign nationals, of which 51,170 are tourist and 17 thousand business visas, the Foreign Ministry announced.
The total number of issued tourist visas to the same period in 2016 increased by 12%.
According to the Statistics Committee, 1.125 million tourists (an 18% increase) arrived in Uzbekistan in six months (according to methodologies of the UNWTO).
According to the Statistics Committee the export of tourist services amounted to US$ 694.5 million in the first half-year.
