President Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree raising the minimum pensions and benefits will be increased from February 1, the press service of the Pension Fund on Wednesday.
Salaries, pensions and benefits already been increased on December 1. However, on January 22, the minimum consumer expenditure (MCE), which is used to determine the poverty line in the country, was increased by 9.3% - from 568 thousand to 621 thousand soums per month. That is, this figure turned out to be higher than the amount of pensions and benefits, although according to the Constitution, the amount of pensions, benefits and other types of social assistance established by law cannot be lower than the officially established MCE.
Therefore, pensions and benefits have been increased to the level of the poverty line.
The minimum benefit for one disabled family member of a survivor's benefit recipient will increase from 608 thousand to 621 thousand soums with a pension paid to each subsequent disabled family member in accordance with the current procedure.
