Young man from the Shakhrisabz city, Kashkadarya province, who exerted psychological pressure and violated the protection order, who tried to make a female teen, 17, to get married, was taken into custody for 10 days, the Children's Ombudsman Surayyo Rakhmonova reported.
As previously reported, the girl M.M. appealed to the Children's Ombudsman on January 15, stating that a guy she knew was putting pressure on her in various ways, trying to make her to marry him, while the parents of the young couple, by mutual agreement, carried out the engagement without the girl's consent. The girl added that she is now a first-grade student at the university and intends to continue her studies.
After this, she was provided a protection order from the police and appropriate measures were taken to ensure her safety.
However, on January 29 M.M said that despite the protection order, the young man was continuing to put pressure on her.
On January 29, for these actions, O.V. was administratively arrested and convicted by the Shakhrisabz city criminal court under Failure to comply with the requirements of a protection order by a person who has committed harassment and (or) violence or is prone to them commission Charge of the Code of Administrative Liability to 10 days of imprisonment.
