At the Senate session, senators reviewed Amendments and addenda to the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Code of Administrative Liability due to the liberalization of liability for certain categories of criminal acts.
The amendments proposed a new provision in the Code of Administrative Liability, which provides for administrative liability for illegal import, transfer, purchase, storage or use of unmanned aerial vehicles, their components and spare parts.
In particular, confiscation by the state of unmanned aerial vehicles detected as a result of an administrative offense, with person who committed illegal actions, if he voluntarily hands over the unmanned aerial vehicles, their components and spare parts, shall be exempted from liability.
Also, alternative punishments such as fines, correctional works, house arrest will be introduced into the Article 2444 of the Criminal Code. That is, criminal Liability shall be applied for such actions if they were committed after the application of an administrative penalty.
The amendments were approved by senators.
