On January 15, the Fergana city court handed a verdict against two guys who raped and killed an 11-year-old girl in Fergana, the press service of the Fergana regional courts.
Minor defendants M.S. and D.A. were found guilty:
- under paragraphs “c”, “h”, “o” of Part 2 of Article 97 of the Criminal Code (Intentional murder under aggravating circumstances, that is, of a person known to the perpetrator to be in a helpless state, associated with rape or forced satisfaction of sexual need in an unnatural form with the purpose of concealing another crime or facilitating its commission);
- under Part 4 of Article 118 (Rape of a person aged under 14);
- under Part 4 of Article 119 (Forced satisfaction of sexual desire in an unnatural form, committed against a person aged under 14) of the Criminal Code of Uzbekistan.
M.S. was sentenced to 14 years in prison, D.A. - to 13 years.
During the trial, it became known that their friend B. Kh. knew about what happened, but did not report it to police. He was charged under Part 2 of Article 241 (Concealment of a grave or especially grave crime not promised in advance). The court sentenced him to 2 years of house arrest.
Note: On July 20, 2023, the body of an 11-year-old girl with signs of rape and murder was found near an unfinished building on Yangi Asr (New Century) street in Fergana.
During the investigation, a suspect in the crime was identified and detained - a young man born in 2006. He took the girl from her house by deceit. The mother of the deceased demanded life imprisonment for her daughter's killers.
