Large-scale military exercises will take place in Kazakhstan as part of combat training activities with the participation of Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries: Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan said.
"This year, large-scale military training with the participation of five countries will be held on the territory of our country, and they should be held at a high organizational level. It is extremely important for us to maintain friendly relations between the brotherly nations," said Ruslan Jaksilikov, Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan.
According to the First Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan/Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Marat Khusainov, more than 160 operational and more than 70,000 combat training events are planned in 2024, the most important of which is Birlestik military exercises featuring the naval forces, the Air Force of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with the participation of special operations units and military contingents.
