President signed a decree on January 10 setting up Eltech Industrial technology park. The goal is reportedly to launch “a new type of high-tech electrical equipment” and its components.
The park is being formed at the Ohangaron Tech Industrial technology park in the Akhangaran district of the Tashkent province.
The territory of the technology park is expanding by an additional 214 hectares on the basis of the right of permanent use - up to 352 hectares. The facility is located 23.3 km from the supplier of copper products - Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Plant.
To manage the technology park, it is planned to hire an international consulting company with advanced experience in the field.
To date, two companies have been listed as residents of the technology park in the Akhangaran province - ENCO Group and United Cable-Co.
As reported earlier, by a presidential decree, home appliance manufacturers in Uzbekistan will get soft loans at a rate of 7% per annum and tax breaks until 2027, preferences in government procurement, covering part of the costs of marketing research, and more.
While, from February 1, when importing refrigerators, radiators, vacuum cleaners, washing machines, televisions and other equipment into Uzbekistan, authorized representatives or official dealers of the manufacturer will be required. At the same time, they must also provide services.
