Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change deployed first electric vehicles for waste collection, the ministry’s press service said.
The first waste collection EV was imported from China by Eco House waste cluster in partnership with Chengdu Shiny Technology.
The vehicle car will be tested in the Jizzakh province. It is designed to navigate through narrow streets and has 300 km per charge and 3-ton load capacity, allowing waste to be collected from populated areas during the day and transport to landfills.
“The vehicle was manufactured in China’s Chengdu. We are pleased to cooperate with Uzbekistan and plan to produce electric vehicles for waste removal in this country in the future,” said Wei Guo, company expert.
