Two people in Nukus city got poisoned with a substance of unknown etiology, the mayor’s Jan. 6 decision to study the causes of the accident said.
Reportedly, the incident occurred on December 29, 2023 in one of the apartments in the 23rd microdistrict of the city of Nukus. As a result of poisoning, 2 citizens were hospitalized to the Karakalpakstan branch of the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Care. Despite the medical assistance provided, one of them died.
A commission was formed to determine the causes of the accident.
Earlier, in Chimbay district of Karakalpakstan autonomy, 5 members of one family died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
