On December 4-7, the delegation of the Uzbek Defense Industry Agency under the Ministry of Defense attended the third EDEX-2023 international defense exhibition in Cairo.
According to the Uzbek Embassy, the country's delegation was hosted by the Minister of State for Military Production of Egypt, Muhammad Salahuddin. During the negotiations, the parties discussed the prospects of development of bilateral ties, implementation of mutually beneficial projects and cooperation with defense industry manufacturers were discussed. The Egyptian officila expressed interest in the import of some military items from Uzbekistan and noted its interest in stepping up relations.
During the EDEX-2023 international defense exhibition, negotiations were held in the pavilions with representatives of domestic and foreign manufacturers of military products.
This exhibition is considered the largest in the field of defense in Africa and the Middle East and is held every two years under the leadership of the Egyptian president.
Nearly 400 manufacturers from 46 countries showcased their products, as well as official delegations from more than 50 countries attended.
