Uzbek-Indian Defense Industry Seminar/Min Expo took place in Tashkent, where representatives of the two countries discussed joint projects and bilateral cooperation, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Defense reported.
Delegates from India included representatives from Zen Technologies, TATA Advanced Systems, Bharat Dynamics, Apollo Micro Systems, L&T Defense, Bharat Forge and Karman Drones Private.
“The event participants discussed promising areas for strengthening relationships and new joint projects,” says a message on the Ministry of Defense website.
In February, president Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree setting up Defense Industry Agency and the state unitary enterprise Uztekhtrade, which now imports military and dual-use products.
Over the past five years, Uzbek military-industrial enterprises have mastered the production of local light armored vehicles, drones, night vision devices and various combat modules.
