Law enforcement agencies arrested a resident of Shakhrisabz district the Kashkadarya province, who is suspected of forcing a 14-year-old girl to have sexual intercourse with several people.
On November 24, a minor, Ch. T.,14, living in Kitab district of the province, contacted the Children's Ombudsman. She reported that from May to November 15, 2023, she was forcibly held in her house by a resident of the village of Khozhabog, Shakhrisabz district, N.A., forcing her to have sexual intercourse with different people through violence and threats. The Children's Ombudsman appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office with a request to immediately investigate the situation and bring those responsible to justice.
The provincial prosecutor's office investigated the incident on the same day. The Kitab district prosecutor launched a criminal case against the woman under Human trading in relation to a person known to the perpetrator to be under 18 years old / punishable by imprisonment from 8 to 12 years, with an investigation team formed and an investigation underway.
According to the National Agency for Social Protection under the President, the victim’s mother left for work in Russia in January, and the girl was under the care of her father in Kitab district.
The agency received a complaint from the victim's uncle, who reported that the girl was being forcibly kept in someone else's house for seven months and forced to have sexual intercourse with other people.
“A “social case” was opened and a working group of psychologists and teachers was created at the Inson Social Services Center of Kitab district of National Social Protection Agency to help minor Ch. T. restore physical and mental health, as well as find out the reasons for the incident and prevent them happening.” , the message says.
The criminal case is under the oversight of the Prosecutor General's Office and the Children's Ombudsman.
The next day, the press service of the Ombudsman reported that by a ruling of the Kitab District Court, suspect N.A had been arrested.
