The Transport Supervision Inspectorate under the Ministry of Transport and the Russian Federal Service for Transport Supervision signed a memorandum on the development of cooperation in the field of road transport, road infrastructure and railway transport, the Ministry of Transport said.

The document was endorsed by the chief of the Transport Supervision Inspectorate, Zhamshid Karimov, and the chief of Rostransnadzor, Viktor Basargin, the ceremony took place as part of Transport Week in Moscow.

As part of the signed memorandum, the parties vow to exchange experience in the law enforcement practice of the parties, information on violations of traffic safety and operation of railway transport, as well as cooperate in digitalization and the introduction of modern technologies.

Transport Week has been held in Russia since 2007. The key event is the international forum and exhibition “Transport of Russia”. The goal of the events is to find solutions that ensure the connectivity of the country’s economy and its territories, as noted on the week’s website.
