President Mirziyoyev signed the Increasing wages, pensions and benefits Decree”, raising wages, pensions and social benefits will by 7% as of December 1 of this year.
According to the decree:
• the basic amount for calculating pensions is set at 372 thousand soums;
• the minimum amount of old-age pension is set at 725 thousand soums;
• the minimum wage is set at 1 million 50 thousand soums.
In accordance with the decree, from the beginning of December the size of pensions and benefits will increase for 4.5 million people, and the salaries of employees of all budget-financed organizations will rise by 7%.
Separately, it is worth noting that from December 1, the Basic settlement unit will increase by 3% (not by 7%) and is set at 340 thousand soums. In general, for the year, wages, pensions and social benefits increased by a total of 14.5%, and the basic calculated value by 13%.
