On November 16, Presidential Assistant Saida Mirziyoyeva met with the OSCE Representative on Freedom of the Media, Teresa Ribeiro. During the discussion of existing problems and opportunities for freedom of speech in the world, the parties also focused on improving media legislation.
“Today we are at the stage of improving media legislation. We are developing a draft Information Code. It is important for us to keep the positive changes in the field of mass media that we have achieved in recent years and to protect journalists.
“In the framework of this topic, we discussed future joint projects,” Mirziyoyeva wrote in her Telegram channel.
