It is proposed to reduce criminal conviction for offences of low social risk. Draft amendments to the Code of Administrative Responsibility in connection with the improvement of liability for offenses against property" was posted for public input.

The draft envisages the following changes:

Amendments to the wording of Article 61 of the Code of Administrative Responsibility, a fine of three to ten times the base calculation units or up to ten-day arrest for theft, misappropriation of other people's property, abuse of official position or small amount of robbery by fraud, have proposed to provide for the administrative penalty of up to 10-day administrative arrest.

It will prevent citizens from being tried for crimes of low social risk, and their excessive red tape in investigative offices.

While, as a result of the precise determination of the damage caused by the committed offense, along with clarifying the threshold of assessment of this act as an administrative or criminal offense, it increases the KPI of the authorized persons, prevents excessive expenses, and increases the possibility of quick consideration of the situation in a simplified manner.
