Uzbekistan government delegation will attend the World Summit on Climate Action on December 1-2 in Dubai (UAE). The Summit will take place on the sidelines of the 28th Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP28), the presidential spokesman Sherzod Asadov.

At the summit, Uzbekistan is expected to make a number of proposals and initiatives to strengthen the fight against climate change at the national, regional and global levels. 

Reportedly, this forum, which will bring together delegates of almost all countries of the world, key international organizations and civil society, is of utmost importance for consolidating international efforts in the field of combating climate change and mitigating its consequences, financing climate strategies and the transition to green energy. 

Uzbekistan also supports the initiatives of the UAE leadership put forward as chair country of COP28.
