Uzbekistan is cutting natural gas exports to China for the second month in a row. This was reported by Spot based on information from the General Administration of Customs of China.
In September, monthly supplies of Uzbek gas to China almost halved compared to August and topped $41.62 million, and compared to July, gas supplies decreased by 2.2 times.
In January-September, Uzbekistan exported $412.19 million worth of natural gas to China, which is half of last year’s figure.
The top supplier of gas to China is Turkmenistan. In nine months, Turkmenistan supplied gas worth $7.41 billion.
In the close second is Russia, with the country nearly doubling its exports to $4.98 billion over the past nine months.
The above two countries were followed by Myanmar ($1.21 billion) and Kazakhstan ($949 million).
