22.49 thousand electric vehicles were imported into Uzbekistan in ten months of 2023, the Customs Committee said in a report on Monday.
Imports increased by 6.1 times compared to the same period in 2022 (3,679 cars), and the value reached $582.3 million. According to the Statistics Agency for this period last year, deliveries have increased almost 13 times (1,749 electric vehicles worth $55.4 million).
Over the past three months (August-October), 15.1 thousand electric vehicles worth $365.3 million were delivered to Uzbekistan.
China is on the top spot in terms of supply of electric vehicles, on 20.64 thousand (91.7%), of which 13.74 thousand were delivered in the last three months alone.
Hong Kong is in second place with 1,258 cars (5.6%). Next come the UAE (147 cars), South Korea (136), USA (134) and Germany (125).
