The Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov attended the Forum of Foreign Ministers of the Central Asian States and the Secretary General of the OSCE in Ashgabat.
"We attended the forum of foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Ashgabat," the Foreign Minister Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Reportedly, the parties discussed the general agenda with OSCE Secretary General Helga Shmid and foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
In particular, they touched upon the cooperation on ensuring border security, combating climate change and developing transport links.
Uzbekistan has been a member of the OSCE (former Council of Security and Cooperation in Europe) since February 26, 1992, and in February 2018, the country resumed its participation in the activities of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
