French president Emmanuel Macron has accepted the invitation of president Shavkat Mirziyoyev and will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on November 1-2.
According to the presidential press service, the two leaders will hold high-level talks in Samarkand and will discuss the ways to advance the Uzbek-French multifaceted ties.
They are reportedly expected to focus on expanding cooperation in the trade, economic, innovation, investment and cultural-humanitarian areas.
The counterparts will also attend a joint business forum with the participation of companies and banking and financial institutions of the two countries.
At the summit, it is planned to adopt a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental agreements, as well as a package of trade and investment deals.
